I’m Ian Bowyer, an IT Software Consultant and freelance developer specialising in Microsoft technologies. I began my career in the early 2000s working across a range of industries, including telecoms, content management, event management, and financial services. These formative roles gave me a strong grounding in building reliable, scalable software and collaborating within delivery-focused teams.

In 2014, I moved into contracting to focus more directly on delivering high-impact solutions for clients. Since then, I’ve worked with organisations across a diverse set of sectors, including language translation, financial services, digital agencies, healthcare, and IoT. This breadth of experience allows me to quickly understand new domains, integrate into teams, and add value from the outset.

I’m typically brought in to help deliver critical projects—whether that’s getting a programme over the line, accelerating development, or building greenfield applications from scratch. My approach is pragmatic and quality-driven, with a strong emphasis on clean architecture, maintainability, and delivering tangible business outcomes.
